The loved ones of Tom Sizemore, a well-known American actor famous for his roles in movies such as Saving Private Ryan,
Black Hawk Down and Natural Born Killers, are currently grappling with "end of life matters" after he suffered a brain aneurysm earlier this month.
Sizemore, who is 61 years old, had a tumultuous past, including drug addiction and serving time in jail for domestic violence.
His manager, Charles Lago, spoke to the media in the United States, stating that doctors have informed the family that there is no more hope and that it is time to consider end-of-life decisions.
The family is currently in the process of making these decisions, and a further statement will be issued on Wednesday.
They are asking for privacy during this difficult time and are appreciative of the numerous messages of support and prayers that they have received.
Tom Sizemore, an actor who rose to prominence in the 1990s, is perhaps best known for his role as Sergeant Horvath in the Academy Award-winning film Saving Private Ryan,
in which he starred alongside Tom Hanks. Some of his other notable film credits include Pearl Harbor, Heat, and True Romance.
Sizemore was also recognized for his performance as a mobster in the TV movie Witness Protection, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination.
However, along with success came a destructive drug habit, which he candidly wrote about in his autobiography, detailing his struggles with heroin and crystal meth addiction.
