Step 1. Click on your Windows Start  and type “secpol.msc” into the search box. You will see  Local Security Policy Windows.
Step 2. Click on Software Restriction Policies then Right Click and select “New Software Restriction Policies“.
Step 3. Expand the Software Restriction Policies and Select “Additional Rules”
Step 4. Right Click in the right column and Select “New Path Rule”
Step 5. Now click Browse and navigate to your Avira Free AntiVirus installation directory. Mine is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Avira\AntiVir Desktop.
Step 6. Find “avnotify.exe” and select it and Click Ok. The security level should be set to Disallowed so click ok.
Step 7.Again Click on Software Restriction Policies then Right Click and select “New Software Restriction Policies“.
Step 8.Right Click in the right column and Select “New Path Rule”
Step 9.Now click Browse and navigate to your Avira Free AntiVirus installation directory. Mine is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\ipmgui.exe.
Step 10. Find “ipmgui.exe” and select it and Click Ok. The security level should be set to Disallowed so click ok.
